Seun Kuti, the youngest son of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti, has expressed admiration for Korra Obidi’s daring tribute at his father’s resting place.

Over the weekend, Korra visited Fela Kuti’s grave in Lagos and performed a twerking dance in honor of the music icon. She described the performance as a celebration of Fela’s love for expressive movement and high-energy performances.

Seun Kuti welcomed the gesture, noting that it captured the fearless and vibrant spirit that defined his father. He shared on social media:
"You guys know what baba likes but you will never give him what he wants. E go better for you my sister."

The tribute has sparked conversations across social media, with fans praising Korra’s bold and unconventional way of honoring Fela’s legacy.

Meanwhile, Fela’s eldest son, Femi Kuti, recently reflected on his own upbringing during the Ake Arts and Books Festival in Lagos. He revealed that growing up in Fela’s household was unconventional, as his father did not provide formal guidance. Instead, Femi had to learn by observing and navigating life independently. He described his early years as a mix of challenge and self-discovery, noting that the traditional father-son relationship was largely absent in their home.

Despite the unusual upbringing, both Seun and Femi continue to celebrate their father’s legacy through music and public engagements, keeping Fela Kuti’s Afrobeat influence alive for new generations.
